In September 2004, the Executive Committee and Board of Directors agreed it was time to start developing a plan for the future of the organization, time to formulate a bold new vision for AEM’s direction.  The Executive Committee and Board of Directors decided to create a task force to develop a strategic plan for AEM.  Its objective was to determine where the association needs to be in the next five years in its core service areas, and to develop a vision for how it will continue to meet the evolving needs of its members. 

AEM recently completed the development of a long-term plan.  This document envisions what AEM ought to look like five years from now in its core service areas as well as all services – in terms of current programs, new activities, member benefits, scope of membership and staff requirements – to best serve the changing needs of the AEM membership.
