Bureaus provide product-focused services
AEM bureaus help members work together on activities that impact their day to day business.
Typical bureau activities include, but are not limited to:
Statistical reporting programs provide members with accurate, timely and comprehensive
market data. Our exclusive statistical programs allow bureaus to tailor programs to meet members' needs and provides
data not available elsewhere – with complete confidentiality.
Some AEM bureaus also participate in international statistical exchange programs with
North American, Japanese, Korean and European sister associations, providing them with complete worldwide statistical
data.
Technical activities include monitoring and providing industry positions on standards
and regulatory issues that affect a bureau's product lines. Through technical committees, any bureau can create a
forum for setting industry standards and develop documents to specify product terminology, machine operation and
safety information.
Bureaus also develop and produce safety, technical and educational materials, which
provide uniform product terminology and other operational information. Be sure to take a look at AEM's extensive
listing of product safety manuals and videos.
Decal exchanges allow manufacturers to stay up to date on current safety decals produced
by other manufacturers.
Joint technical liaison committees cooperate in the worldwide harmonization of product
standards, regulations and safety with Europe, the Pacific Rim and the Americas.
