Mission The FEC Engineering Liaison Committee (FECELC) was formed to identify,
evaluate and prioritize emerging global issues related to technical standards, regulations and other matters common
to agricultural equipment which could potentially impact member companies, their products and markets. The committee
will develop and communicate, as appropriate and in a timely and proactive manner, a consensus AEM position.
Scope The committee shall address technical issues that affect AEM agricultural
equipment products and liaison with related trade associations, standards developers and government agencies to
promote a global approach to information sharing.
Operation This committee shall concentrate on identifying, evaluating,
communicating, and establishing an industry consensus position on, industry related global issues including technical
standards development, pending regulations and other issues that could potentially have an impact on member company
agricultural equipment products.
This committee shall serve as a liaison to outside (external) bodies when communication of industry positions is
required or when AEM action could proactively influence the direction of an issue. The committee shall also maintain
a close relationship with other AEM technical and product committees and draw on their expertise to assist in their
decision process.
Organization The committee shall consist of interested members at large and it
shall report to the Farm Equipment Council. A chairman and vice-chairman shall be elected from the committee to
serve for a two-year term.
Meetings The committee shall meet at the chairman's discretion, but has
traditionally met in conjunction with other Farm Equipment Council sub-committee meetings.
