Marketing Council Seminar
May 21-23, 2012
Chattanoogan Hotel | Chattanooga, TN, US
kŏn'ĕk-tĭv'ĭ-të
n., The quality or condition of being connected or connective.
As consumers, we receive over 5,000 marketing messages a day. These messages bombard us through an array of channels, and consumers have become really good at tuning out phony messages. So how do companies cut through the clutter and really connect with their customers? Marketing success requires making a connection with your audience. Connecting with your audience means first understanding what’s important to them. Getting a consumer’s attention, and ultimately winning their loyalty, depends upon our ability as marketers to demonstrate the right integration of the communication channels.
Chattanooga Tennessee (also known as the scenic city) is one of the largest cities in Tennessee and has a population of over 150,000. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and ridges, the city has an interesting landscape that creates a powerful mix of urban and rustic scenery. The Chattanoogan Hotel is the perfect contemporary urban oasis for a seminar getaway. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the city’s museums, art galleries, retail establishments, Chattanooga restaurants and the Tennessee Aquarium. The Chattanoogan Hotel boasts three outstanding dining establishments, a relaxing day spa with a steam room, sauna, fitness center, pool, whirlpool and patio overlooking the hotel’s courtyard; few hotels offer an experience quite like the Chattanoogan!

Key Note Speakers
Opening the seminar for us will be Sally Hogshead, author of the internationally-acclaimed book, FASCINATE: Your 7 Triggers to Persuasion and Captivation. Using her research-based Fascinate system, she teaches how to instantly persuade and captivate in a world with a 9-second attention span. Sally is the creator of The F-Score, the world’s first test that measures how a person fascinates. This test is not about how you perceive the world—but how the world perceives you.
To bring the seminar full circle will be Mr. Jamie Turner, the co-author of How to Make Money with Social Media and Go Mobile. He is also the Founder and Chief Content Officer of the 60 Second Marketer.
