Member Spotlight: Telsmith, Inc.
Telsmith, Inc., a subsidiary of ASTEC Industries, Inc., has manufactured mineral processing equipment for the global aggregate and mining industries for over 100 years. The company and its employees are actively engaged in the I Make America campaign to make sure they can continue to for at least 100 more.
Telsmith has created sign-up boxes that are prominently placed in lunchrooms and at the front desk where employees and visitors can sign-up on a written form, making it easy to reach employees who don’t have internet access while working in the shop or warehouse. Additionally, using the I Make America toolkit, they have also hung signage across the building, and sent personalized letters to employees.
Telsmith is now gearing up for round two of I Make America activity and will promote company participation in the “Picture a Better America” photo contest through email, signage and by supervisors in daily shift meetings. Additionally, they are just beginning filming of a Day in American Life video to tell Congress that it is critically important that equipment manufacturers are able to prosper and grow right here in the United States!
