Industry Conditions Surveys (ICS)

Construction ICS
This is a quarterly state of the industry report for the construction industry that asks participants about their unit volume of demand, company employment, unit volume of inventories, capital spending, profit margins, wages and salaries, prices of input materials, prices charged, shortages, export performance and planning scenarios. To share in the results of this important survey, your company must participate by providing data on your company's performance.

Latin America ICS
This is a quarterly state of the industry report for the Latin America market that asks participants about their unit volume of demand, company performance, prices charged and market outlook. China ICS

Wage & Benefit Survey

For this annual report, we survey our members about their policies on wages, benefits and employment policies. Fourteen job areas are covered and analyzed by industry segment, sales volume and location. Participating in this survey is a great way to determine if the salaries you're paying your employees are comparable to other equipment manufacturers! Consolidated results are provided free-of-charge to participants only.

General Parts Program Survey

This survey covers the current parts policies and practices of AEM member whole goods manufacturers, as well as a separate survey of companies involved in attachments, components and supplies. Areas covered in the survey include:

Warranty Survey

Compare your policy to the industry in the areas of percentage of dollars approved, how claims are submitted, when your warranty starts and many more areas. Biennial results are provided free-of-charge to participants only.

Training Survey

Do you provide Web-based training for distributors/rental/end users? Do you provide end users with operator schools? Questions like these will help you to determine how your company's service training compares to the industry. Biennial results are provided free-of-charge to participants only.

Surveys on Specific Needs

On an ad hoc basis, AEM surveys equipment manufacturers and sister associations on specific activities and policies. For example, AEM conducted a Contractor Survey with Associated General Contractors (AGC), and teamed with Sobratema, the Brazil Society for Equipment and Maintenance Technology, to survey 104 top Brazilian end-users. In addition, AEM has conducted a Rental Survey with Rental Equipment Register Magazine on their policies, covering all types of equipment; has surveyed construction material recyclers via a Recycling Survey which contains information such as plant size, power sources, transporting configurations and their equipment needs for the future; and has conducted an E-Commerce Survey to measure AEM members' adoption of e-commerce and web technologies.
