CIMAnet Online Resource Centers Expand Coverage and Content
As part of its
commitment to providing the most comprehensive information portal for equipment manufacturers, CIMA recently added a new E-commerce
Resource Center to the CIMAnet website, and expanded the content of its Export Resource Center.
CIMAnet resource centers contain dynamic collections of the best CIMA-produced articles and reports, plus valuable content from outside
sources to help members stay up-to-date on key business and technology issues, trends and news.
New E-Commerce Resource Center
CIMA's E-commerce Resource Center offers articles and reports on e-commerce strategy, Web marketing and Web development, plus links to
some of the best websites and resources for these topics. It's also where members can view the results of CIMA's 2000 E-commerce Survey
and the latest issue of Executive Technology Briefing, an e-mail newsletter produced by innovation and technology expert Jordan Ayan.
This newsletter helps CEOs and senior-level executives understand the strategic implications of key Web and e-commerce technologies.
"The goal of the E-commerce Resource Center is to help executives leverage the opportunities offered by e-commerce, and learn about
the best tools, business models and strategies for serving their customers and business partners online," says CIMA's Chuck Frey.
"Our goal is to provide a valuable, growing cross-section of news and information that is focused on the business needs of our
members and to present it in a convenient executive summary format."
Expanded Export Resource Center
In addition to launching the E-commerce Resource Center, CIMA has also made significant additions to its Export Resource Center. It now
offers members online versions of all CIMA international publications, including Industry Trade Barriers, Global Markets Report,
Advisor China, and Advisor Latin America. Another new feature is an online Guide to State Export Assistance Programs, which members can
search by state to find export assistance programs available to U.S. companies from state development agencies and trade centers.
Visitors to the Export Resource Center will also find daily international business news, Latin American market research reports, and
international business links. New features under development include an international trade show database and a Latin American
construction project news service.
