Next Show Dates Set After Successful First Run
 Following a successful inaugural event in February of this year, the World of Asphalt™ exposition has set the dates and location for the next Show - March 18-20, 2003 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2002, scheduled for March 19-23, 2002 in Las Vegas, USA, will highlight asphalt equipment, products and services, as featured at World of Asphalt™ 2001, in a distinct and major asphalt product-concentration area.
Nashville in 2003
"We have established World of Asphalt™ as the premier educational and exhibits resource for the asphalt industry. We are committed to the future and will continue to produce a high-quality event that meets the needs of both attendees and exhibitors," stated Show Managing Director Peter Vlahos.
The World of Asphalt™ 2003 site of Nashville, Tennessee will bring an added dimension to the Show experience for both attendees and exhibitors, noted Show management.
The Convention Center is an excellent facility providing a wide range of services for exhibitor and attendee convenience, and its downtown location puts visitors in the center of attractions that have made Music City, USA famous.
Other features are the area's warm climate and easy access not only from all areas of the country but also internationally.
Inaugural Show a Success
The inaugural World of Asphalt™ was held February 4-7, 2001 in Orlando, Florida. The show was a huge success, exceeding organizers' expectations for attendance as well as exhibit participation.
More than 3,200 industry professionals attended World of Asphalt™ 2001, which covered over 28,000 net square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space to showcase the latest equipment, materials and services from 86 leading industry suppliers. With the limits of available space, the show expanded its potential twice to add more exhibitors and was a sell-out with a waiting list of com- panies wanting to participate.
World of Asphalt™ 2001 featured a real-time paving demonstration project, as more than 20 companies utilized over 40 pieces of equipment in a unique industry cooperative effort to demonstrate paving "best practices." The Show also included educational seminars on asphalt industry trends and technologies.
World of Asphalt™ 2001 was held in conjunction with the National Asphalt Pavement Association's (NAPA) 46th Annual Convention and a NAPA "People, Plants & Paving" Training Program.
