Equipment Warranty Survey Expands
To provide additional value added to construction equipment manufacturers, CIMA is coordinating efforts with EMI to query EMI members about warranty practices and then will consolidate the data with results of the latest CIMA warranty survey to provide both groups with more comprehensive industrywide benchmarking data. The warranty survey will also provide data specifically for agricultural equipment makers.
CIMA conducted its second comprehensive warranty policies and practices survey last year as a follow-up to the first ever industry warranty survey, conducted by CIMA in 1997 to help manufacturers evaluate and benchmark their company warranty programs against their peers and competitors.
The 270-page survey results cover warranty terms, costs and effectiveness, and answers to each question are broken down by company size and product type to allow for more precise benchmarking.
