China Office, International Services Department Restructures for Improved Service
The Association is positioned to provide expanded services to member companies doing business in the increasingly global economy. |

AEM's China initiatives come at the beginning of a new era for the Association's International Services Department, both in its Beijing office and here in the U.S.
As the Beijing office's first managing director, Mr. Gao Yongsheng, transitioned into a consulting role, its new managing director, Mr. Zhang Qing, has built on the office's solid foundation.
Mr. Zhang continues to cultivate the Association's relationship with key government officials and ministries. He is also taking advantage of his own industry experience and contacts to reach out more to the nation's construction equipment consumers, building another layer of service into the office's ability to help members connect with contractors, specifiers, and other equipment buyers.
Global Regions Highlighted
Changes have also taken place in the Association's Milwaukee office, where the International Services Department has restructured its responsibilities to offer members fuller coverage around the world. Responsibility for international marketing activities has been divided among:
- Arnold Huerta, International Marketing Manager-Latin America, Europe and Africa;
- Kaien Li, the departments newest employee, who is International Marketing Coordinator-Asia.
With this restructuring the Association is better positioned to provide expanded service to member companies doing business in the increasingly global economy, helping them compete more effectively in the international marketplace.
Value-Added Services
Each member of the international services team will also work on a special area of responsibility to make the Association an even more valuable resource for its members.
Arnold Huerta will work on market research reports. Petra Kaiser will continue her efforts on the Associations online international trade show database. Kaien Li has begun compiling data for an online database of international construction projects.
Member Services Assistant Michelle Vondey serves as U.S. Department of Commerce Liaison working with global markets reports, market development cooperator grant program information, and related news and information.
