Over the past several months, a positive dialogue between representatives of the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and AEM technical and regulatory experts has identified a critical issue now facing American manufacturers of agricultural and construction equipment: There is a lack of a harmonized standards strategy for the Americas and the need for U.S. governmental support and promotion of good global standards, which enhance trade and commerce.
Dialog with Key U.S. Agencies
In order to address this standards strategy, AEM in full partnership with DOC is planning to continue dialog with key U.S. governmental agencies in mid-2002 to cover the following:
