Your AEM Technical & Safety Dept.—

Experienced Staff Meets Agricultural/Construction Industry Needs

A key AEM service area is technical and safety programs, and AEM has a seasoned staff of technical and safety experts:

Richard Dressler, a licensed professional engineer with more than 29 years of engineering experience in the crane, construction and mining industries.

Darrin Drollinger with 12 years of association experience in technical, regulatory and safety activities and numerous years of agricultural industry involvement.

Russ Hutchison with 25 years of construction and mining equipment product liability defense and regulatory experience, as well as seven years as a mechanical engineer.

Dan Moss with 27 years of standards and engineering support experience in the aerial work platform and agricultural equipment industries.

Joan Nowicki and Barbara Toecker, department support staff with a combined total of more than 25 years of association service.

The primary mission and function of the AEM Technical & Safety Dept. is to:

  • ensure early recognition and appropriate action on emerging and existing technical, regulatory and safety issues that impact AEM members;
  • provide responsive leadership to facilitate AEM product group (bureau/council/committee) issues, activities and programs;
  • define and develop initiatives aimed at reducing accidents and injuries associated with the operation, use and maintenance of AEM members’ products.
