Global Construction Equipment Technical Sessions Planned
These committees are considered a valuable resource of worldwide contacts and industry information. |
|
AEM will host upcoming meetings of two CE joint international technical working groups in conjunction with CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2002 in March in Las Vegas - to provide a continuing forum for manufacturer-to-manufacturer exchange of progress and understanding of the standards and regulations likely to impact the global marketability of off-road equipment.
Valuable Resource
AEM will host the Construction Equipment Joint Technical Liaison Committee (covering earthmoving and mining equipment). AEM's Power Crane & Shovel Association (PCSA) and Manufacturers of Telescoping and Articulated Crane Committee (MOTACC) will host the International Crane Technical Liaison Committee. The two groups last met at Bauma in Munich, Germany last year.
The committees are considered a valuable resource of worldwide contacts and industry information, and action taken within these groups addresses safety and trade issues through standards, regulations and certifications being proposed and adopted by various countries worldwide.
AEM Founding Member
AEM is a founding member of the two groups. The overall group has been meeting for more than 10 years; the crane group was formed in 1997.
AEM looks forward to the continued active involvement of North American crane manufacturers and the CE joint technical members are working to broaden the scope of participants to include compaction, roadbuilding and other CE product manufacturers at the meeting.
