Customer liaison efforts and industry best practice education are major points of emphasis for AEM, and at the Show the Association will pursue initiatives to improve and extend the dialog between equipment manufacturers and their customers.
Focus Groups
Two AEM focus groups will leverage the Shows unique position as the industry gathering place in 2002 to compile tangible information about how Show attendees purchase, use, and dispose of equipment to help manufacturers better understand their customers business preferences.
AEM will also bring a focus group firm to the Show so the Associations members can take advantage of this powerful customer communication tool on a cost- and time-shared basis.
Rental Focus Group
AEM has also set a rental focus group session at the Show, which will include major rental companies from countries including Canada, Chile, France and Holland as well as major U.S. rental firms (including Home Depot).
Industry Summits
AEM will also sponsor two CONEXPO-CON/AGG Industry Summits. The first is an open forum between equipment manufacturers and their customers, aimed at advancing their dialog so they can do business together more effectively.
Distance learning, with an increasing emphasis on e-learning combining interactive Internet and telephone presentations, has long been an important activity of the Association, and is the subject of the second industry summit.
At the Show, the Association will team with the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) to present a dynamic forum highlighting specific examples of how contractors, manufacturers and educational institutions are using Web technology to train their personnel, clients and customers.
Seminar Program Contributions
The Association has also contributed to more than 20 individual seminars in six tracks of the Shows seminar program to provide attendees with the greatest possible value from their seminar participation.
