Shows on Target for Success!
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2002 and IFPE 2002 are almost here, and this first-ever co-location of the two shows has created an even larger industry gathering for the construction, construction materials and power transmission industries with an expected combined 2,300 exhibitors, 1.9 million net square feet and over 100,000 expected visitors.
Industry Gathering Place
The co-located Shows have created the industry gathering place for 2002 March 19-23 in Las Vegas.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG has a record number of cooperating associations 71 to date. A record number of association conventions are being held at the Show 9: New is CRMA, CSDA, NUCA and SAE, plus ARTBA, AGC, IRF, NRMCA, NSSGA.
Co-Location of IFPE Exposition
IFPE exhibit space sales are at a record pace ( and on track to meet its 100,000 net square feet goal). And the IFPE Technical Conference has expanded with a new Application track, addition of are Milwaukee School of Engineering seminar series and selected presentations developed with SAE.
IFPE also has extensive industry support with 12 leading national and international power transmission associations and educational institutions, and the co-location of the SAE International Off-Highway Congress.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG has expanded its Information Technology (IT) Pavilion, which for the first time is being sponsored by AGC, and now numbers more than 110 companies.
The expansion of the Las Vegas Convention Center has allowed the Shows to continue to grow, with more exhibits, events, seminars and meetings.
New exhibit floor features include a display of historical equipment, and in addition to the many equipment demonstrations by exhibitors in their booths, there will be a decorative concrete field training program sponsored by NRMCA and ASCC part of Concrete Central at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2002.
The Shows will offer an expanded shuttle bus system with multiple pick-up and drop-off points (a first), elevated walkways between exhibit areas and Show floor product locators and information kiosks to help visitors get around the Show easily.
Online Show Information and Planning Tools
The Show is helping foster buyer-seller interaction with an expanded VTS Virtual Trade Show with improved personal planner capabilities to link exhibitors and attendees pre- and post-Show. The expanded CONEXPO-CON/AGG website provides more detailed Show planning information for attendees and exhibitors, expanded multi-lingual content for convenience of international attendees. exhibitor manual online for exhibitor convenience (a first), and online Show and seminar registration, links for housing and travel reservations.
Unprecedented Educational Opportunities
The CONEXPO-CON/AGG seminar program will cover 120 sessions across 10 industry-specific tracks, and industry professional certification programs and examinations.
Several new industry summits have been set; these are free sessions that serve as a forum to exchange ideas on key industry issues and are sponsored by leading industry associations.
Expanded International Outreach
The Show will feature seven international exhibit pavilions from Finland, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, Ireland expanded International Business Center services; and Export-Import Bank financing help onsite.
In addition, CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2002 earned the prestigious U.S. Dept. of Commerce International Buyer Program designation, to help promote the Show to overseas attendees, and is currently working with about 30 commercial service posts to recruit official delegations.
