Education - International operations
Culture to culture: know it, understand it, profit from it
August 5-6, 2002 Chicago, IL
AEM’s international seminars feature informational tips and tools from industry and government officials plus first-person reports from industry peers to help international marketing and sales personnel enter or expand into global market operations.
This edition will feature changing corporate culture to become global (keynote by Richard Christman, President of Case IH Agricultural Business), plus regional country outlooks and sessions on equipment-focused exporting issues and challenges.
Also on the agenda: the return of two popular segments: a “contractors’ sound-off” (with the presidents of Ameco-Fluor and Bechtel discussing taking a company global) and an “open forum,” where members share “in the trenches” stories on doing business internationally.
The seminar hotel is located in downtown Chicago, just minutes from the “Magnificent Mile.”
Topics on the agenda include:
- Regional focus on Afghanistan, Mexico and Brazil
- European outlook, focused on Spain and Eastern Europe
- Export “how-to’s” – financing case studies
- Export “how-to’s” – market research and analysis
- Do’s, taboos and faux pas of international relations
