DOC standards plan
AEM was among a select group of business leaders invited to participate in the announcement by U.S. Commerce Dept. Secretary Donald
Evans of DOC's new standards initiative to improve coordination with principal trading partners, government agencies and industry to
enhance access for U.S. products and services to the international marketplace. President Dennis Slater represented AEM at the March
announcement in Washington, DC.
The DOC standards initiative includes an eight-point plan to address the needs of U.S. companies in establishing fair and consistent
global standards. AEM is a long-time proponent of “one-standard, one test and one product accepted globally.”
