Ag Equipment Council formed
As part of the association’s expanded ag-related services, the AEM Ag Advisory Committee has been renamed the Ag Equipment Council (AEC) to better reflect the scope of its activities.
The AEC will be the advocate for ag members in the association.
Identify Ag Action Issues
All AEM members with agriculture business interests will automatically be members of the group. Each company has one vote; however, multiple company representatives may attend meetings and participate in all AEC activities.
An Executive Committee will oversee the AEC and be comprised of a cross section of ag product sectors and the association’s overall ag membership.
With this formal restructuring, the AEC will be better able to accomplish its mission of identifying and developing industry positions and recommendations to the Board of Directors on ag issues, including farm show involvement and legislative/regulatory matters which affect the ag marketplace.
Construction Equipment Steering Committee
In related action, the AEM Board of Directors is also considering a recommendation to institute a formal Construction Equipment Steering Committee which would be the advocate for CE members in AEM.
The CE committee would provide strategic and operational direction to the AEM staff and Board for services and activities pertaining to construction equipment members and service providers.
