Trade shows provide valuable marketing opportunities
World of Asphalt Grows
In March, the World of Asphalt show and conference, which AEM co-produces, also had a successful run. This is the second edition of World of Asphalt, and the show is becoming known as the gathering place for all segments of the asphalt industry.
The 2003 show recorded a 70% increase in the amount of exhibit space taken, and a 27% increase in attendance (almost 49,000 net square feet exhibits and more than 3,500 show visitors).
Planning is underway for the next World of Asphalt, to be held in March 2004 in Nashville, Tennessee.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 and IFPE 2005
And, planning is also underway for the gigantic CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction and construction materials exposition and the IFPE International Exposition for Power Transmission. AEM co-owns and co-produces both.
The two shows will be co-located and held in March 2005 in Las Vegas. Space sales opened in May, and companies have already signed up for 1.3 million net square feet of exhibit space.
This year the last CONEXPO-CON/AGG, held in 2002, was named not only the largest trade show of any industry in the United States that year but also the largest trade show ever in the 29 years that a record has been kept.
