Web upgrade improves global data reporting
Improving the quality of the Intercontinental Statistical Committee’s (ISC) market data reporting programs was the aim of a recent upgrade to the ISC section of the AEM website.
AEM hosts the industry-wide ISC on the association site to provide all committee participants with electronic access to the group’s agendas, minutes, manuals and other procedural materials.
Each ISC participant submits an outline of the data it reports into the program (such as type of products, regions) to incorporate into a “master” grid. Previously, this data was reported manually, via hard-copy surveys sent through the mail. With the electronic format, ISC companies can check and update their information at any time, and the ISC participating associations (AEM, CECE, CEMA, KOCEMA) can verify the accuracy and completeness of the data reported.
