Trade Show Update
World of Asphalt a success!
| Next World of Asphalt |
The next World of Asphalt will be held March 14-16, 2006 in Orlando, Florida. The annual show is not held during a CONEXPO-CON/AGG year, so in 2005 the asphalt equipment, products and services displayed at World of Asphalt will be featured at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005 in a distinct and major indoor and outdoor asphalt product-concentration area.
AEM co-owns and produces World of Asphalt with its CONEXPO-CON/AGG show management partners. The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) is a co-owner. |

Show features growth in global attendance, record exhibit space totals, expanded education.
The World of Asphalt 2004 Show and Conference was truly the gathering place for the asphalt industry March 15-18 in Nashville, TN.
Positive Mood, Qualified Attendance
More than 3,200 asphalt industry professionals from around the globe attended the show to see and compare the latest asphalt-related equipment, products, technology and services. More than 170 exhibitors took a record-breaking 54,915 net square feet of exhibit space at the Nashville Convention Center.
World of Asphalt organizers noted a positive mood among buyers and sellers on the show floor, where exhibits featured a wider array of product lines than ever before. The show attracted a highly qualified audience, with a majority of attendees in management roles (including president, owner, vice president, and purchasing/sales/marketing management).
International Attendance Grows
The growing scope and influence of World of Asphalt was reflected in the increased international presence at the 2004 event. Attendees came from more than 30 countries worldwide and accounted for 10% of total show attendance.
While the largest contingents came from North America (Canada and Mexico), all major world regions were represented, including Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
Global visitors included a U.S. Dept. of Commerce-sponsored trade delegation from Russia and other “Newly Independent States” countries.

World of Asphalt 2004 concluded with a well-received quarry tour and warm-mix asphalt paving demonstration.
World of Asphalt had the support of more than 20 national and international industry groups and 30-plus state asphalt associations.
Several industry meetings were held in conjunction with World of Asphalt, furthering its reputation as the industry gathering place.
