Equipment Manufacturers Commend House, Senate for Swift Committee Action on 2013 Farm Bill
The House and Senate Agriculture Committees have each passed versions of the 2013 Farm Bill and sent them on for full consideration. AEM President Dennis Slater issued a statement immediately following the votes, applauding the action and urging Congress to bring the bill to the floor as soon as possible.

The inaugural CONEXPO Latin America show will take place October 21-24, 2015, AEM announced during a press conference at Edifica in Santiago, Chile. CONEXPO Latin America will bring the CONEXPO brand of industry-run trade shows to Latin America, providing improved marketing opportunities for global equipment manufacturers.

The first official meeting of the new Environmental Recycling Equipment Council (EREC) is set for May 30, 2013 in Chicago. The meeting is an important step in AEM’s efforts to help grinding, chipping and mulching equipment manufacturers come together to work on industry issues.

AEM Intensifies Battle to Defeat New Hampshire Dealer Legislation
AEM continues to battle New Hampshire legislation that would significantly alter dealer contracts and create additional costs for equipment manufacturers doing business in that state. The bill, SB 126, would repeal a longstanding law which currently regulates the relationship between equipment dealers and manufacturers.

If REACH has grabbed your attention, you’re not alone. Implementation of REACH, the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemical substances, is causing concern for AEM and its member companies.

Costs and other challenges could be significant as REACH requires registration of more than 30,000 chemical substances in use today during the course of implementation.
