AEM Statistics Groups Meet to Assure Timely, Accurate Data; Recognize Merit Award Winners

Several committees met during AEM’s recent Spring Statistics Conference to discuss and vote on program refinements, assuring that AEM statistics provide highest value to participants. AEM Statistics Outstanding Merit Award winners were also recognized.

Statistical committees meeting during the event included: Ag Equipment, Aggregates, Cranes, Aerial Work Platforms, Commercial Worksite Equipment & Forestry, Earthmoving & Excavator Equipment, Road Machinery and the Statistics Executive Committee. At the meetings, attendees have the opportunity to suggest further program improvements as well as new programs.

The event was held in Oklahoma City; The Charles Machine Works also hosted a general session at its Perry, Oklahoma facility for conference attendees and provided an educational and fun-filled day. During the general session, all attendees gathered to provide committee updates and for additional education by several presenters.

An annual highlight is presentation of the AEM Statistics Outstanding Merit Awards. This year 93 companies were recognized for their outstanding performance in the statistics program. This includes reporting data accurately, on or before the due dates, attending meetings, and responding to ballots, audits and surveys in a timely manner. Five companies also received recognition for improved data reporting performance.

AEM Statistics holds two conferences a year; the fall event will be held at the JCB headquarters in Savannah, Georgia.

AEM now has more than 190 unique products being reported into its statistics program, providing members with timely, accurate and equipment-specific statistics to help them assess market share and trends for improved forecasting and production planning.
