DTN University Co-locates Master Marketing Short Course at AG CONNECT Expo & Summit
AEM and DTN/The Progressive Farmer have announced that DTN University will be held at AG CONNECT Expo & Summit in 2013. DTN/Progressive Farmer is also an Official Sponsor of the 2013 show.
The DTN University-Master Marketing short course will include an additional special hands-on marketing session.
AG CONNECT is set for January 29-31, 2013 in Kansas City, Missouri at the Kansas City Convention Center. The DTN University-Master Marketing short course, with an additional special hands-on marketing session, will be held on January 29, 2013, which is Preview Day for AG CONNECT Expo & Summit.
The University’s widely recognized program is for intermediate-level grain and soybean marketers who want to expand skills beyond simple forward cash contracts. Participants will increase their knowledge of marketing styles that have performed over time at rates above the season-average.
In addition to the classroom presentations of DTN University, an optional session limited to 70 participants will be held later in the afternoon for a limited number of participants.
This session offers a three-hour grain marketing simulation exercise that provides producers with the experience of crop-risk management, hedging and commodity marketing decisions to learn new effective methods without risking real goods or actual funds. Participants also learn the value of important dates, supply and demand forces and vital information sources for the upcoming season.
Greg Horstmeier, editor-in-chief for DTN/The Progressive Farmer, said that the producer audience that participates in the company’s seminars will recognize the value of attending the DTN seminar co-located with AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013. “This is an excellent opportunity to offer our best information on commodity marketing to producers who want a full-service event – education, networking, and of course the ability to see all the latest equipment and inputs options.”
Speaking for AG CONNECT Expo & Summit, Sara Mooney, the show director, said that “DTN University is a proven value to producers and adds great value to attendees who want these high-level marketing insights. Having this marketing seminar at AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 is a great program for serious producers,” said Mooney.
AG CONNECT Expo & Summit will be named a presenting sponsor of this edition of DTN University.
The list of AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 exhibitors and supporting organizations continues to grow, with the updated lists online at www.agconnect.com.
