Opportunities to Network, Learn Drive 2012 Annual Conference to Best Attendance in Four Years
Opportunities to network with peers, learn from recognized leaders and participate in guiding AEM programs and activities drove attendance at AEM’s 2012 Annual Conference to its highest level in four years.
The 2012 Annual Conference, held November 7-9, 2012, at the Terranea Oceanfront Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, had 416 registered attendees, up from 382 in 2011. Attendance at the 2012 Annual Conference was the highest since 2008.
“The Annual Conference offers an increasingly vital opportunity for networking with peers in a confusing marketplace,” said Al Cervero, AEM vice president of marketing and global business development. “For this reason, a growing number of leaders in the equipment manufacturing industry have made the Annual Conference a ‘must attend’ event.”
Cervero added that AEM’s expanding volunteer base, including members of the new AG and CE Sector Boards, have helped to boost attendance while increasing the depth of member engagement.
Annual Conference Rewind
For member reference, speaker presentation materials and graphic recorder charts from the Annual Conference can now be found online. Graphic recorder charts highlight key information and important points made by speakers and presenters in an easy-to-comprehend visual format.
An Annual Conference wrap-up video is also online, featuring clips of conference speakers, the AEM Hall of Fame induction ceremony and more.
AEMPAC Gala Sets Fundraising Record
The AEM Political Action Committee (AEMPAC) gala held in conjunction with the Annual Conference on November 8, 2012, attracted 230 attendees and raised a record $60,000. AEMPAC supports candidates for federal office who pursue governmental policies that promote a favorable business climate for AEM and the equipment manufacturing industry.
