In collaboration with Agrievolution Alliance, AEM in 2013 will support agriculture member companies in the international marketplace with an educational forum in India.
Agrievolution Alliance, a global coalition of agriculture equipment manufacturing associations for which AEM serves as the secretariat, announced that the 2013 Agrievolution Forum will be held December 5-6, 2013, at the Hotel Taj Mahal in New Delhi, India.
Agrievolution Alliance has moved quickly since its formation in April 2012 to facilitate collaboration within the agriculture equipment manufacturing industry among major world agricultural regions.
It has established an industry issues committee to determine future outreach; its economic committee shares data on global regions represented by participants; and it has developed an alliance website for information exchange – www.agrievolution.com.
The alliance was launched in the shared belief of participants that issues and challenges in the agricultural economy should be viewed from a global perspective and acted upon on a global basis.
“An alliance like Agrievolution provides equipment manufacturers with a forum from which they can speak with a unified voice on issues that impact them around the world,” said Rob Kolb, vice president, global business development, GEA Farm Technologies Inc. and chair of AEM’s AG Sector Board.
Charlie O’Brien, AEM vice president and agriculture sector leader, stated, “The alliance strengthens our ability to work with our global counterparts on the shared goal of adequately and efficiently feeding and clothing the world population.”
Nine associations currently participate in the alliance:
- ABIMAQ (Brazilian Association of Industrial Machinery and Equipment)
- AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers, USA)
- AXEMA (Association for Industrial Agricultural Equipment, France)
- CEMA (European Agricultural Machinery Association)
- FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry)
- ROSAGROMASH (Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers)
- TARMAKBIR (Turkish Association of Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Manufacturers)
- UNACOMA (Italian Farm Machinery Manufacturers Association)
- VDMA (German Agricultural Machinery Association)
Agrievolution Forum Serves as World Education Summit
The 2013 Agrievolution Forum will be held in conjunction with the agricultural machinery exhibition EIMA AgriMach India and will be hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). A forum committee has been established for further content and development.
Agrievolution forums serve as a global industry platform to convey valuable data and facilitate communication among agricultural leaders. Top growers, agribusiness executives, government officials, media and academia from around the world are invited to share in the timely regional data, open dialogue and vital global connections.
Agrievolution forums were held in Rome in 2008, Orlando in 2010 and Paris in 2011. The alliance will continue to host forums approximately every 18 months in conjunction with industry events, providing a consistent point of contact and information exchange for global agricultural stakeholders.
