New AEM Aerial Platform e-Book Offers Ease of Global Distribution, Extends Safety Messaging Reach

AEM continues to meet the industry’s growing need for operator safety information on mobile devices by bringing its popular Aerial Work Platform Safety Manual to e-book format. The e-book format also allows AEM to more easily distribute safety information globally and extend the reach of its safety messaging.

Available on Apple’s iBookstore, the English version of this manual was selected as AEM’s next e-book because of intense user interest, the high volume of print copies sold each year and the extensive number of machines in the field.

The AEM Aerial Platform Safety Manual e-book is not meant to replace print, but to provide another avenue to reach equipment operators and help them practice safety in the field.

The new Aerial Platform Safety Manual e-book uses color on inside content for the first time. Colored signal words replace the black triangles with exclamation points found in the print version for improved emphasis of warnings. It also features user-friendly options found in all e-books, such as variable type, bookmarks, the ability to embed and email notes, content searching, and a low-light reading format.

AEM plans to add more safety manuals to the iBookstore, as well as expand into other e-book platforms to increase availability. Sales of all published e-books have now been expanded into 50 iTunes international stores (including the U.S.).

To order the AEM Aerial Platform Safety Manual e-book, first install iTunes on your Mac, PC or mobile device if you do not already have it. Once you have iTunes installed, you can download the Aerial Platform Safety Manual e-book.
