AEM member Sullivan-Palatek Inc. has called on lawmakers in Washington to do more to start creating new manufacturing jobs in America. Thanks to its efforts over the past year, the Michigan City, Indiana-based company has joined the elite ranks of Gold-level company supporters in AEM’s I Make America campaign.
“We are proud to be part of this movement,” said Steve Van Loan, president of Sullivan-Palatek. “Our customers not only like it, they expect it. It is time we started creating new manufacturing jobs in America and keeping the ones that are still here.
“By participating in I Make America, we are confident that our employees as well as customers will join in with us to not only protect jobs in America, but to push our lawmakers in Washington to do more to help us make manufacturing strong here again.”
As part of its I Make America activities, Sullivan-Palatek produced A Day in American Life video that features company leaders and employees telling the story of how their company and community “make America.”
“We commend Sullivan-Palatek for achieving Gold status in the I Make America campaign,” said AEM President Dennis Slater. “As an AEM member, Sullivan-Palatek exemplifies the commitment we need from all manufacturers around the country to send the message to Congress and the White House that our economy is in urgent need of a new manufacturing policy that will create jobs.”
