CNH has strongly supported AEM’s I Make America campaign from its start, stressing that long-term investment in America’s surface transportation infrastructure is crucial to economic growth and job creation. CNH recently achieved I Make America Gold-level status in recognition of its efforts to spread the campaign’s vital message.
“As a leader in construction and agriculture equipment manufacturing, CNH feels a greater responsibility to support this worthwhile cause to return manufacturing and infrastructure strength back to North America,” said Jim Hasler, vice president of Case Construction Equipment. “Long-term investment in surface transportation infrastructure enhances national safety, job growth and the ability of U.S. manufacturing to remain competitive globally.”
“Case IH is proud to contribute to the efforts of our parent company, CNH, in being a Gold-level company supporting the I Make America campaign,” said Jim Walker, vice president of Case IH North America Agricultural Business. “We believe that rebuilding and modernizing America’s infrastructure is not only one of the key growth engines to our nation’s economic health, but also crucial to help U.S. farmers transport food more efficiently and effectively within the U.S. and for export as part of our shared mission of feeding a growing world.”
As part of its I Make America activities, CNH produced A Day in American Life video that tells the story of how its hardworking employees “make America” each and every day at their New Holland facility in Wichita, Kansas.
“We commend CNH for achieving Gold status in the I Make America campaign,” said AEM President Dennis Slater. “As an AEM member, CNH exemplifies the commitment we need from all manufacturers around the country to send the message to Congress and the White House that our economy is in urgent need of a new manufacturing policy that will create jobs.”

I Make America is a grassroots campaign that was launched in September 2010 to dramatically improve American manufacturing policies to create more jobs in the U.S. and keep our economy competitive with other countries.
Gold-Level supporters are an important group of companies that have achieved participation benchmarks marking them as industry leaders, including significant employee involvement; outreach to their state, local and federal legislators; promoting campaign sign-ups at trade shows and with allied trade associations; and production of A Day in American Life video.
The campaign is supported by more than 22,000 people nationwide, AEM’s 850-plus member companies and industry organizations.
