Record exhibitor participation has been achieved by bC India 2013, with nearly 700 exhibitors from 33 countries planning to display. In addition, bC India will occupy a record 150,000 square meters (1.6 million square feet) of exhibit space, an increase from 88,000 square meters in 2011.
The show, scheduled for February 5-8, 2013, at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai, India, is a joint effort of AEM, the organizers of CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and Messe München International (MMI), the organizers of Bauma.
Many returning exhibitors signaled their satisfaction with the first bC India by booking additional space for the 2013 show, while other companies joined an already-strong exhibitor lineup by participating for the first time.
However, the exhibitor and exhibit space records are not the only highlights. As part of the event, bC India has also organized a series of supporting conference programs that will provide platforms for industry leaders to discuss issues specific to their sectors.
The technical program will kick off on Wednesday, February 6, with “Conference on Infrastructure Development – Deliverables and Imperatives” sponsored by the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (iCEMA). The conference is being held at the Hotel Trident which is within walking distance of the bC India exhibition grounds.
On the following day, February 7, the ASAPP Media Information Group will hold its “5th Annual Equipment India Conference” at the Golconda Ballroom at the Hotel Trident. Finally, on the same day, the Builders’ Association of India (BAI) is again organizing its “Top Buyers Conference.” The meeting is by invitation only.
