ICE® - International Construction Equipment, Inc. continues to drive home its strong support for policies that promote the growth of manufacturing jobs in America. Based on its ongoing efforts to spread the pro-manufacturing message of AEM’s I Make America campaign, ICE® maintained its Gold status in the program for 2012.
The company, located in Matthews, North Carolina, first achieved Gold-level status for its I Make America activities in 2011.
ICE® has actively promoted I Make America to members of three other organizations to which it belongs: the Pile Driving Contractors Association, the Deep Foundations Institute and the Association of Drilled Shaft Contractors. The company takes sign-up cards to trade shows and conferences of those organizations and places I Make America ads in their publications.
“ICE® has been a continued part of the AEM movement with I Make America. Now is the time to join ICE® to help make a positive change,” said Pollyanna Cunningham, director of marketing and IT communications at ICE®. “Together we can take an active role in support for manufacturing jobs in America by educating people and legislatures on the manufacturing industry, handing out fliers, signing AEM petitions and continued word of mouth support so that the public can get involved in I Make America.
“The more support we can give to the industry, contractors, manufacturers and engineers, the more stable our infrastructure will become. Coming together to support funding for infrastructure projects can bring great results. However, it is only through combined strength and commitment to campaigns like I Make America that allows our voices to be heard. Please join us in participating with AEM to help make America.”
“We commend ICE® for maintaining its industry-leading Gold status in the I Make America campaign,” said AEM President Dennis Slater. “As a member of AEM, ICE® exemplifies the commitment we need from all manufacturers around the country to send the message to Congress and the White House that our economy is in urgent need of a new manufacturing policy that will create jobs now and for the long term.”
Join the I Make America Campaign
I Make America is a grassroots campaign that was launched in September 2010 to dramatically improve American manufacturing policies to create more jobs in the U.S. and keep our economy competitive with other countries.
I Make America Gold-Level supporters are an important group of companies that have achieved participation benchmarks marking them as industry leaders. Benchmarks can include significant employee involvement; outreach to their state, local and federal legislators; promoting campaign membership at trade shows and with allied trade associations; and production of A Day in American Life video telling the story of how their companies, employees and communities “make America.”
The campaign has enlisted the support of more than 23,000 people nationwide, AEM’s 850-plus member companies and industry organizations.
