In January 2004, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) established a Canadian presence by incorporating the operations of the Canadian Farm & Industrial Equipment Institute (CFIEI) into AEM.

AEM Canada will help the full scope of the association's membership compete more effectively in the Canadian marketplace by acting as a liaison to help the equipment manufacturing industry communicate its interests and viewpoints through a single industry voice.

AEM Canada will also help facilitate AEM's participation in the Canadian International Farm Equipment Show, one of the key agribusiness trade shows in Canada.
