In a recent amendment to the Federal Clean Air Act the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced its 2004 plans to propose stringent new exhaust and evaporative emission regulations for industrial/construction, agricultural and other equipment powered by spark-ignition engines in the power band less than 19 kW (25 HP).
