  AEM Economic Indicators Report for May 2008 Now Online
Economic conditions declined in the first quarter of 2008, according to the latest edition of the Federal Reserve Beige Book. Nine Districts reported a weakened pace of business activity, while the others reported mixed or steady activity. Across most of the country consumers spent less on goods and services and the housing market remained weak. Districts also reported a flat or deteriorating nonresidential real estate market. (5/12/2008)
