Product Safety & Compliance Seminar Planning Committee (PS&CS-PC)

Mission

The mission of the committee, comprised of representatives of AEM member firms, is to produce AEM's annual product safety and compliance seminar.

The seminar is unique in several ways:

It is member conducted - member company representatives working in Product Safety & Compliance identify and select the topics that should be presented to the industry members

There is no substitute elsewhere - this seminar is specific and exclusively devoted to off-road machinery, in utility, building & road construction, mining, agriculture (including specialty machines), and forestry.  No appliances, no cars, and no toys.

It is the best possible training regimen for persons that are new to (ie untrained) to product safety and compliance to standards and regulations

Delivered by practitioners in their topic areas - it's what they do on a regular basis and is based on experience and success.  No academia or ivory tower!

It is important, high value best practice content on design of a product safety program, who/what/why, risk assessment, and hazard communication processes, and communicates how product safety adds value.

The topics educate technical staff of the industries served by the association and their major component suppliers.
