Over 9,100 attendees and exhibitors gathered for the 2019 edition of Commodity Classic, held February 28 – March 2 in Orlando, Florida. 

Attendees took advantage of all the show had to offer, including top-rated education, networking and 210,000 net square feet of trade show exhibit space.

More than 400 exhibitors brought the latest technology, equipment, inputs and services, so attendees could get a firsthand, hands-on look at the future of farming.

The farmer attendance figure ranks second highest in the 23-year history of Commodity Classic, while total attendance ranks third.   

AEM Engages Attendees, Honors Innovators


AEM member participation was prominent in Commodity Classic education programming and across the show floor.

  • Commodity ClassicAs part of AEM’s Infrastructure Vision 2050 policy-focused thought leadership initiative and engagement with leaders of the agriculture sector, Ag Sector Board member and AGCO North America Vice President of Aftersales, Customer Support, & Distribution Development Bill Hurley led a discussion about one of the most critical policy issues in rural America -- rural infrastructure. The discussion featured perspectives from fellow panelists John Lagemann, senior vice president, sales & marketing – Regions 3 & 4, Deere & Co. and AEM Board Chair for 2019, as well as fellow AEM Board Members Scott Harris, vice president, Case IH North America, Jerry Johnson, president, farm ranch and ag division, Blount International, Inc., and Todd Stucke, senior vice president, marketing, product support & strategic products, Kubota Tractor Corporation. The panel issued a call to action to stakeholders to join the equipment manufacturing industry in urging the White House and Congressional leadership to meaningfully address infrastructure investment and a long-term funding solution across all modes in 2019. The discussion was one of several activities recently deployed by AEM at Commodity Classic 2019 and elsewhere. This includes publishing an original commentary by AEM President Dennis Slater on the need for the ag community to join in on advocacy efforts with equipment manufacturers, running a paid campaign on Twitter targeting attendees at this year’s Commodity Classic and encouraging them to sign up as I Make America supporters.

The 25th annual Commodity Classic will take place February 27 – February 29, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.

Established in 1996, Commodity Classic is America's largest farmer-led, farmer-focused convention and trade show, produced by the National Corn Growers Association, American Soybean Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, National Sorghum Producers and Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
