2021 Policy Priorities

By Kip Eideberg, AEM Senior Vice President, Government & Industry Relations

As the Biden-Harris administration and the 117th Congress get to work in our nation’s capital, the AEM Advocacy Team is in the arena relentlessly making the case for equipment manufacturers and the 2.8 million men and women of the industry. Equipment manufacturers are optimistic about the outlook for the industry and the improving state of the economy. But there is still work to be done. As always, sound public policy can support faster growth and job creation and a more broad-based economic recovery, while misguided policies will hold our country back. That is why the AEM Advocacy Team is working to advance commonsense, nonpartisan solutions to our toughest challenges.

Earlier this year, the Government and Public Affairs Committee approved AEM’s policy priorities for 2021 and today we are pleased to share the highlights with our member companies. The 2021 policy priorities booklet will help inform state and federal elected officials about the policies needed to ensure the economy fully recovers and equipment manufacturers go back to investing in their communities, growing their businesses, and hiring more Americans.

We invite you to review our policy agenda and join us as we advocate for pro-manufacturing policies in Washington and in state capitals across the country.
