AEF TIMThe Agricultural Industry Electronics Association (AEF) recently received an AE50 award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE)

The award was given in recognition of AEF’s development of the Tractor Implement Management (TIM) functionality, launched in 2019. The AE50 award was presented last week during the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

AEF Chairman Peter van der Vlugt and AEF General Manager Norbert Schlingmann were in attendance to accept the award.

TIM is designed to provide – for the first time – a system that enables secure, industry-leading communication between tractors and implements from different manufacturers. TIM is a cross-product and cross-manufacturer ISOBUS solution where the implement controls certain tractor functions and optimizes the working process. In addition, the implement sends information to the tractor via standardized and secure communication, which leads to an optimization of the overall system.

With TIM, the farmer works more precisely, effectively and economically while simultaneously increasing quality. Furthermore, the field operation becomes technically simpler and easier as TIM takes over tiring and repetitive tasks. In addition, the farmer can use TIM with his or her tractors and implements from different manufacturers.
