The world is currently in the midst of experiencing a “digital iron” renaissance that promises to have profound effects on both AEM members and the equipment manufacturing industry as a whole.

Attendees at the upcoming AEM Annual Conference – slated for November 1-3 in Palm Beach, Florida – will learn exactly what this era will mean for manufacturers. More specifically, they will hear why embracing digital technology and its potential for transformative change can help ensure a bright future for those who conceive, build and use ag and construction equipment to meet the world’s needs.

A wealth of experts will speak on number of topics related to this “digital iron” renaissance, including how technology is solving humanity’s grand challenges, the secret to sparking innovation and building a strong corporate culture, the co-creation movement, data collection as a business tool, among others.

Michael Beschloss, an award-winning historian, best-selling author and regular commentator for NBC and PBS, will present on the Trump presidency and its place in historical context. Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to listen to him compare Trump to past leaders, predict the direction Trump will take the presidency, discuss Trump’s similarities and differences with past presidents, as well as how world leaders – both past and present – view him.

In addition, global equity investor and author Vikram Mansharamani will share the multi-lens approach he uses to look into the future, manage risk and navigate uncertainty, as well as how his enlightened approach can be applied to create opportunities in the global economy.

Meanwhile, Vivek Wadhwa, a distinguished fellow at Carnegie Mellon University and Singularity University, globally syndicated columnist for The Washington Post and acclaimed author of several books, will provide a historical overview of how the current technology renaissance promises to be the most amazing period in human history. Those in attendance will also learn how the convergence of ever-advancing technologies are expected to disrupt entire industries, including equipment manufacturing.

This year’s AEM Annual Conference will be held at The Breakers Palm Beach.

The three-day event will also include the 2017 AEM Hall of Fame induction ceremony, slated for November 3 at the AEM Annual Conference's Finale Dinner. The AEM Hall of Fame spotlights people who have made meaningful advancements in the off-road equipment industry. Since 1993, 57 people have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, which recognizes off-road equipment industry visionaries and leaders, with a focus on innovation, leadership, corporate citizenship/social responsibility, sustainability and overall industry contributions.

Lastly, the 2017 AEM Annual Conference will conclude with a Reception and Magical Masquerade Ball, which will infuse multiple genres and eras featuring next-generation talent and surprises from the past. Attendees are encouraged – but not required – to dress in masquerade ball spirit.
