Ag StatsIn an effort to provide AEM members with the most reliable and accurate market share information in Latin America, the Association’s Statistics Department recently launched five new retail statistics programs in Argentina and Brazil.

The launch marks the first phase in a rollout of an initial group of retail programs in Argentina, and the expansion of retail programs in Brazil – all as part of AEM’s Latin America Regional Ag Statistics Program.

“Finding reliable and accurate market information is a very difficult and daunting experience,” said AEM Director of Latin America Statistics Arnold Huerta. “AEM’s programs provide out members with timely accurate and reliable information. Thanks in large part to the programs we’ve launched, our members now have the best-available tools and reports to determine their market penetration and business profitability.”

According to Huerta, participating member companies will receive their respective monthly market share information based on their reported monthly state-level retail data for Argentina and Brazil.

The retail programs and participating companies are as follows:

  • Retail program (state-level reporting) for Sugar Cane Harvesters in Brazil – AGCO, CNH Industrial, Deere & Company
  •  Retail program (state-level) for Forage Harvesters in Argentina – AGCO, CLAAS, CNH, and Deere & Company
  •  Retail program (state-level reporting) for 2WD Tractors in Argentina – AGCO, Agrale, CNH Industrial, CLAAS and Deere & Company
  •  Retail program (state-level reporting) for Self-Propelled Combines in Argentina – AGCO, CLAAS, CNH Industrial and Deere & Company.
  •  Retail program (state-level reporting) for 2WD Tractors – Retail in Brazil. – AGCO, Agrale, Agritech, Deere & Company, CLAAS, CNH Industrial, LS Tractor, Kubota, Mahindra and Yanmar Solis.

The main objective of the AEM Statistics Department in Latin America is to develop, expand and implement statistics programs in an effort to help member companies determine market share.

“And it’s widely known that market share is one of the main determinants of business profitability,” added Huerta.
