AEM’s Advocacy Team came up big at the 40th annual Telly Awards, which honors excellence in video and television across all screens. The advocacy-focused ads/videos “Manufacturing Day,” “Start with Infrastructure,” and “I Make America Town Hall Tour Promo” won one silver (the competition’s highest honor) and two bronze Telly Awards across multiple categories. 

The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies, and publishers from around the world.

“These wins are a testament to the creativity, skill, and dedication of AEM’s Advocacy Team and the great collaboration with out member companies,” said Kip Eideberg, AEM’s vice president of government and industry relations. “I would to especially thank our member companies AGCO Corporation, CNH Industrial, Doosan Bobcat, and Terex Corporation for the great collaboration and for inviting us into their facilities.”

Last year, AEM won a Telly Award for “Counting on You.”

2019 Silver Telly Award

The “Manufacturing Day” video was a big part of AEM’s efforts to promote the 1.3 million men and women of the equipment manufacturing industry during last year’s Manufacturing Day. AEM launched the 30-second video to thank equipment manufacturing workers, spotlight their work ethic, and highlight some of the industry’s key contributions to the U.S. economy.

2019 Bronze Telly Award

The “Start With Infrastructure” ad was the cornerstone of an advocacy campaign to urge Congress and the White House to make infrastructure its top policy priority in 2019. The 30-second spot ran on cable TV, including on the dedicated feed serving the White House, as well as online and on social media channels (including LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook). Altogether, the campaign generated 1.4 million views and 10.8 million impressions online.

2019 Bronze Telly Award

Last year AEM’s national grassroots campaign I Make America hosted a series of town halls across the country to engage and inform the equipment manufacturing industry’s 1.3 million men and women about the most important issues during a critical election year. Each town hall kicked off with a video designed to remind the audience that they have an important role to play in advocacy and inspire them to help AEM advocate for pro-manufacturing policies.
