I Make AmericaBy Katrina Bishop, AEM Public Affairs Manager

With November 3 moving closer every day, it’s important we work together to speak with one voice during this year’s election.

One of the best ways we can amplify our impact is through social media. These days, more Americans get their news from social media channels like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn than ever before. That is why we are planning to coordinate multiple campaigns and deploy highly-engaging content so that the 2.8 million men and women of our industry feel informed and motivated to vote for pro-manufacturing candidates this year.

So, if your company wants to help support our industry during this important election year, then one easy way to help pitch in is to join a growing group of member companies who receive advance notice of our digital and social media campaigns, as well as exciting, fun and engaging videos, graphics, infographics, and more. AEM consistently acts on behalf of all equipment manufacturers to provide resources and coordination like this to help bolster our collective voice and impact in Washington and throughout state capitals around the country

For example, this past April, we coordinated numerous member companies, including AGCOCase IHKomatsuVSS Macropaver, and Woods Equipment for a “tweetstorm” campaign thanking essential infrastructure workers for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you would like to learn more and join us in our social media advocacy effortsthen send me an e-mail at kbishop@aem.org or give me a call at (202) 285-6224.

It is up to all of us to make sure that candidates at every level understand the impact that equipment manufacturers have on the economy and in the voting booth this November.
