A proposal to build, host and maintain a telematics test database was approved by the CE Sector Board when it met November 3 in Miami.

The test database would allow third parties, software developers and major fleet owner developers to bring machine telematics data into their business systems in order to verify that their systems are functioning correctly and pulling in the correct information.

The CE Sector Board also provided direction on workforce development, technology standards and 2016 advocacy efforts.
