Next week, thousands of visitors will flock to Nashville, Tennessee to attend World of Asphalt 2022. After the show wraps up on Thursday, March 31, AEM is partnering with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce to host business leaders, educators and policymakers in Nashville for discussions around how to build a robust infrastructure workforce in Tennessee and across the country. Our event, titled Building Generational Talent: Infrastructure Workforce Opportunities in Tennessee and Beyond, will be the first in a series of events across the country to highlight the policy recommendations outlined in the Rebuild With Purpose: An Affirmative Vision for 21st Century American Infrastructure that AEM released with the Brookings Institution last year.

Now that Congress has passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which included over 30 policy recommendations from the Rebuild with Purpose report, the United States is in a prime position to rebuild our roads, bridges, rails, expand access to clean drinking water, ensure every American has access to high-speed internet, build a diverse and talented workforce, as well as invest in communities that have too often been left behind.

AEM is thrilled to kick off this event series in Nashville and have included details about the event below. If you’re at World of Asphalt or in the Nashville area, please make sure you stop by to say hello and discuss the opportunities awaiting Tennesseans. Register for the event here.
