That bright, fresh-faced student sitting across from you could be your future employee. But you’ll never meet him or her if you don’t attend the 78th Annual AEM Student Awards Luncheon.

The event is scheduled for July 27 in New Orleans, Louisiana, in conjunction with the 2015 American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Annual International Meeting (AIM). It honors ASABE student engineering and technology branches with the best record of activities and achievements for the year.

New Competition Format

2015 brings big changes to the student branch competition:

  • Entries are now entirely web-based, enhancing the image of the student branches and their departments and offering consistent, relevant information that is fully accessible to students, faculty, manufacturers, prospective students and the public.
  • Awards have been completely revamped, including new first-place travelling trophies, cash prizes of $1,000 and $500 for the top two finishers in each category (engineering and technology), and paid AIM registrations for chapter members. AEM and its members have also added a reward element to the awards by offering to provide an industry speaker and/or a tour for the four winning student branches.
