Upcoming REACH enforcement actions pose market risks for manufacturers both within and outside of the European Union (EU). REACH is the EU directive for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical Substances.
A group of EU member-state surveillance authorities recently announced its fourth coordinated enforcement project regarding substances that are restricted or require authorization under the REACH directive.
These enforcement actions may have different effects on manufacturing facilities located within versus those located outside the EU. However, market risks exist for both EU and non-EU manufacturers.
Dr. Chris Robertson of Edif ERA provides complete details on these upcoming enforcement actions in his column in the latest issue of AEM’s Regulated Substances Brief. To download the article, click here.
The AEM Regulated Substances Brief provides content on chemical substances. It informs readers about business risks and opportunities regarding the substances involved in the products they supply, along with regulations affecting their supply chain.
