ICUEEExhibitor and attendee registration for ICUEE 2019 is now open and CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE are right behind, with attendee registration opening July 23. As people start registering to attend or exhibit at the show, AEM’s Customer Service team will often get calls with regard to how people should register.

Different registration types offer different access to the show floor based on the needs of each person. Here is a quick breakdown of some of the most common registration types we get questions about:

Exhibitor Staff Badge: Exhibitors need 24/7 access to the show floor, as they will often need to access their exhibit space to make changes, restock collateral or meet with their teams onsite. The exhibitor contact is able to register them via their Dashboard.

Customer or Dealer Badge: Often, exhibitors will invite their top customers or dealers to attend the show via their registration site. These folks do not need the same access to the show floor as exhibitors do, so they will be granted access only during show hours. In order to properly be categorized as a customer or dealer, we encourage the exhibitor contact to invite them through their Dashboard.

Attendee Badge: An attendee of the show is someone who is there to view the exhibits and make purchasing decisions based on what they see and who they interact with on the show floor. Attendees only have access to the show floor during show hours and often participate in networking events or receptions after show hours. They can register themselves for the show here for CONEXPO-CON/AGG and ICUEE.

Non-Industry Guest Badge: This is also an attendee badge, but intended for the guest or spouse of the attendee and would not be someone looking to make purchasing decisions at the show. This person will have access to the show floor during show hours.

Why is it so important to make sure you register people correctly?

Behavioral Tracking and Reporting: As you register to attend or exhibit at ICUEE or CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE, you will notice that you are asked for some information on yourself, your industry and your interests at the show. This information is shared as aggregate data with exhibitors so they know who was in their booth, when they were there, and what they were most interested in. This helps exhibitors with a number of things; including booth staffing, who they bring to the show to meet with the people, what equipment they bring and many other planning details. If an exhibitor scans your badge onsite, this will allow them to see your personal contact information to use for follow-up in the future.

Pricing: Pricing for badges is determined in advance of the show and a number of variables are considered before badge prices are set. Exhibit staff badges are a lower price point than those for Attendees. Customers and Dealers who are invited by Exhibitors to attend the show are given the same badge pricing as the Exhibitors themselves.

Registering for the correct badge is critical to ensuring that you will have the proper access to the show floor.
