AEM’s Nick Tindall participated in a panel discussion organized by the Farm Foundation last week on the topic of rebuilding rural infrastructure.
Tindall, AEM's senior director of government and industry relations, joined a group of speakers from the agriculture, transportation and equipment sectors – including USDA Senior Advisor Jannine Miller and Farm Credit Council Vice President Robbie Boone – to weigh in on a number of priorities for ensuring a healthy infrastructure in rural America.
According to a recent article on the panel discussion featured in Agri-Pulse, the priorities included the impending highway bill, nationwide broadband access, rural healthcare, water supply systems, finance for rural and agricultural growth, as well as rural housing.
The panel, which convened in Washington D.C., also echoed major themes from The U.S. Infrastructure Advantage™ report prepared earlier this year as part of the Infrastructure Vision 2050 initiative.
