Do you conduct business internationally? Are you looking to expand into international markets? CONEXPO-CON/AGG returns to Las Vegas March 10-14, 2020, and North America’s largest construction trade show will serve as the perfect opportunity for your organization to connect with potential customers and dealers from across the United States and around the world.

The show attracts thousands of international attendees, and based on attendance in the last two editions, we project that at least 1 out of 5 attendees at CONEXPO-CON/AGG will be from outside the United States.

To support your ability to successfully engage your current and prospective international customers, here are the top 5 resources you, as a show exhibitor, should take advantage of pre-show and onsite:

1. Pre-Show: International Marketing Kit

For the first time in the history of CONEXPO-CON/AGG we, are offering our Marketing Kit materials (direct mail pieces, email campaign, and shareable graphics) in five different languages (Spanish, Chinese, Italian, German and Turkish), so you can better reach to your international clients and encourage them to come visit you at the show. In addition to the 2,000 domestic direct mail pieces included in the Marketing Kit, our new International Marketing Kit also includes the mailing of 500 direct mail pieces to international markets (14 countries available) at no cost to our exhibitors.

2.  Pre-Show: Export Opportunity Guide

Log on to your exhibitor dashboard to complete the “Export Opportunities” section to be listed in our Export Opportunities Guide. This is a free directory for exhibitors interested in direct sales, distributorships, joint ventures, and other business opportunities in specific overseas markets and will be available to attendees. This guide will be used to facilitate B2B meetings between exhibitors and international delegates.

3.  Pre-Show & Onsite: Hire interpreters for your booth

We are expecting attendees from over 150 countries, many of whom do not speak fluent English. Although we offer interpretation services in the ITC, make sure you’re ready for them in your booth and improve your chances of conducting business. You can hire dedicated interpreters for your booth directly through your exhibitor dashboard.

 4. Pre-Show & Onsite: B2B Matchmaking Program

This is co-run with the U.S. Department of Commerce through its new Trade Events Partnership Program (TEPP – formerly IBP). Participate in face-to-face meetings with international delegations from your country(s) of interest. To sign-up to be a part of these B2B meetings onsite at the show, you will need to fill out the Export Opportunities Guide (mentioned above) through your exhibitor dashboard. Once you complete your export interest, this information will be pushed directly into our matchmaking software and you will be able to connect with and request meetings with international attendees from your country/region of choice.

 5. Onsite: International Trade Center (ITC)

The ITC is the home of our international community at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The main ITC located on the second floor of the North Hall right above the Grand Lobby (room N250), and our new satellite location is located in the Festival Grounds. These spaces are the ideal locations for our exhibitors and international attendees to meet and conduct business. Services Include:

  • A vast offering of international focused events from country roundtables to economic symposiums, education sessions, and everything in between.
  • Many business services as well as access to private meeting rooms. You will be able to reserve meeting room starting in January of 2020.
  • Interpreters are available in the ITC for assistance with the most common languages you’ll encounter at the show.
