Brazil's Odebrecht Óleo e Gás has been granted a court injunction allowing it to bid for service contracts with state-run oil company Petrobras.

Odebrecht was among 18 construction firms blacklisted by Petrobras in December 2014 based on evidence from the federal police's Lava Jato corruption probe.

In a statement emailed to BNamericas on Tuesday, Petrobras said it would appeal the decision by the 13th chamber of the Rio de Janeiro court of justice.

"Petrobras was notified of the injunction granted to Odebrecht, authorizing it to participate in Petrobras tenders, but it [Odebrecht] has not been removed from the [banned] list," the statement said. "The company has appealed the decision and is taking all appropriate legal measures."

Odebrecht is said to be interested in upcoming tenders for engineering works on the P-55 and P-62 platforms in the offshore Campos basin.
